- The Colombian Energy Sector has been relying in hydrogeneration and this doctrine has created a critical situation where whenever there is a dry season (EL NINO), the hydrogenators “dry up” and the impact of this drought triggers energy prices to spike and this creates a scarcity price period with extremely high energy prices.
NENCOL (jointly: Termo Bonda-94 MW, Termo Costa-94-MW, Termo Gaira-94MW) will add a minimum installed capacity of 282 MW, burning hydrodyen, natural gas andLFO, and and in doing so, will:
- PROVIDE THE MOST RELIABLE, LOW COST AND SUSTAINABLE LONG TERM LEVELIZED COST OF ENERGY (LCOE) IN THE COLOMBIA ENERGY SECTOR
- BECOME THE PRECURSOR TO THE HYDROGEN FUELED POWER PROJECTS IN COLOMBIA IN SUPPORT OF LAW 2099/2021
- PARTICIPATE IN THE ONGOING FIRM ENERGY AUCTIONS SCHDULED FOR FEBRUARY 15, 2024 WITH THE INTENT TO BE AWARDED LONG TERM ENERGY OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE MOST COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR COLOMBIA.
- PROVIDE REACTIVE ENERGY VIA PPA’S OR VIA GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION TO THE MYRIAD OF RENEWABLE PROJECTS IN NORTHERN COLOMBIA AND ALLOW FOR FINANCIAL VIABILITY
- BECOME THE MAIN FOUNDATION FOR THE LONG-TERM LOW COST, RELIABLE, ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE CAPACITY AND ENERGY SUPPLY INTO THE COLOMBIAN ENERGY SECTOR
