NENCOL have double exits of interconnection to the Colombian energy system
NENCOL will be able to use dual fuel (imported liquid fuel and natural gas) from local suppliers (if and when available) to guarantee 100% reliability in deliveries of Firm Energy obligations.
The NENCOL will be operated by leading global companies in operations and maintenance.
When fully operational, the NENCOL Energy Complex will generate over 150 permanent jobs in Colombia.
During the construction, NENCOL is expected to generate over 350 jobs in Colombia.
The NENCOL Energy Complex will have 14% of the installed total power capacity in Colombia, over 40% of the thermal energy capacity of Colombia, and over 35% of the firm energy (guaranteed kilowatts delivered to the energy grid) in Colombia,
The NENCOL Energy Complex comprises five natural gas power projects with dual interconnection systems, 230 kV and 500 KV voltages, dual fuel supply (Natural Gas as Primary Fuel (LNG to Power) and Diesel 2 as Back up Fuel), using Mitsubishi power plants leading technology, with a total aggregate capacity of 2,522 MW.
